this is modeled after the similar building in Melbourne Austrailia. The land it's on was never there.  In Hong Kong they have no problem making there own land. Here we cant even keep our streets from having galactic size pot holes. 

This statue is to celebrate Hong Kongs Independence From the Brits. Hong Kong is a Democracy while the rest of China is Communist. Odd
